Frostbites Ahoy

The DMYC Frostbites have had a hard time recently. Lots of wind.

But we got a good day on Sunday. Although the forecast warned of 30+ knot gusts, they never appeared. And the sun shone. The results are online here. http://www.dmyc.ie/2014/frostbite-2014-2015-results/

There's a report from the Fireballs here. http://goo.gl/eaZG7h and a report from the OK Dinghy perspective here. http://goo.gl/RRyUlM

As usual the on water team got great photos..

Annalise down South

Despite the windy weather in Dun Laoghaire itself, some Dun Laoghaire sailors have been making the best of life. We hear some Fireball sailors have been sailing Tasers, but don't have detail yet.

And Annalise Murphy has been getting noticed in Australia in her Moth. Solidly qualified for the Gold Fleet, she's flying the flag with great skill.

Results here.

And getting onto the event videos.

The crashes are worth as much attention as the interview with Annalise.

Frostbites blown away

The Frostbites haven't had a great run. Although there was racing last week, it's been a standout among lots of cancellations. All correctly called by the committee, but sad to see.

This weekend was much the same. Although various Dun Laoghaire Sailors are off in Australia, nothing much has been happenning here. And here's why.

It's been windy.
